Sunday Live Service with Pastor Cesar Cota (June 28, 2026)
Everyone wants to change their "what." We try to change our habits, our diets, our looks, and our jobs, hoping it will make us feel fulfilled. But those changes only ever last for a short season. Why? Because you cannot truly change your what until Jesus changes your why and your who.
Continuing our series "Your Assignment," Pastor Caesar takes us through the incredible story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19. Zacchaeus climbed up a tree as a notorious traitor and a thief, but after one afternoon with Jesus, he came down as a true son. Jesus didn’t start by pointing out Zacchaeus's flaws or his corrupt bank account; He started by restoring his identity.
In this message, you’ll explore the three keys to lasting transformation:
A New Why: Your why is the reason behind everything you think and do. Jesus doesn't want to just change your actions; He wants to heal the broken "why" that keeps you stuck in the same cycles.
A New Who: Your why lives inside your who. If you believe you are a victim, you will live in self-protection. But when Jesus restores your identity—reminding you that you are God's masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10)—everything shifts. You don't have to prove yourself to the world; you only have to believe who God says you are.
A New What: When your who belongs to Christ and your why is for Him, your what simply becomes worship! Suddenly, going to work, raising your kids, and living your daily life becomes an assignment to honor God.
Stop trying to fix everything on your own! Spend time with Jesus, allow Him to be the center of your life, and watch as He gives you a brand-new perspective.
